    Hi Carlie,

It’s so great to see you commit this week to serving God in Guatemala! Life is truly an adventure and you are taking a leap of faith serving on the Guatemala team. I pray that God would use you to bring a measure of His peace and love to those you touch and that God would open your eyes to a deeper understanding of who He is and how He chooses to work through us as believers. He is amazing and so are you:)

  8. Carlie Wolffis says:

    Hola all!
Thanks for all the prayers and encouraging comments they mean alot to me! Its even more amazing down here than I imagined it. I love the kids and want to take them home with me more than anything! The houses are going great, I never knew a group of teenagers could be so hardworking. Everyone gets along really well and talking with the guatemalans makes years of spanish class soo worth it. They are such sweet people and I wish I could do more for them. I can already tell God is going to use this experience in the future and feel a closer relationship with him after only a few days. Its already flying by and I’m just trying to soak it in!
Thanks again for all the prayers!
    Love~Carlie

    Hi honey,
Been thinking about you and sounds like the many prayers have been and are being answered. You can take some of those kids home with you, I’m sure we can find space in your room. Looking forward to hearing about your daily adventures and the wonderful people you have met and helped. We are so proud of your commitment to doing God’s work on this trip and through your life. Keep smiling!
    Love Always,
    Mom

  16. Janet Wolffis says:

p.s. Slick misses you as do we. His ears are down and he is waiting your return sitting in the driveway.

  17. Carlie Wolffis says:

    Thank You Everyone!
I’m usually a night owl but I was a little under the weather today, and I was only going to read the comments but they’re all so sweet I just have to respond! So I’ll make it snappy :) Today was our last day building&we got everything painted. I can’t believe we built five houses in three days! After we finished all the houses we dedicated them to the families and presented the gospel to them and the chance to accept God into their hearts. Long story short every single family invited God into their lives and that doesn’t always happen. I can’t even begin to explain how touching this was, there were many tears and much prayer. I became even more attached to the children and I will need strength from God to even think about saying goodbye to them. Tomarrow we go into the remote villages and I am so excited to meet more people and share Gods word. I’ll keep you all posted. Thanks for all the prayers and concerns, miss you all!
    Love&pure joy~Carlie

p.s. Tell my puppy I miss him too!!

  18. Judy Holsem says:

    Carlie,
So amazing to see our little Carlie all grown up and in the mission field for the Lord. It seems like just yesterday Jaci was being extra cautious to protect you are her babysitter. Now, you are across the miles in a far away place Building houses for God’s new believers (who would have guessed?). You have many many people dedicated to prayer for all of you and it is so exciting to see answers to prayer. I am sorry to hear you didn’t feel well yesterday and I promise to pray for your health – specifically. Blessings to you as you continue his work! ~Mrs. H

  19. Kristy van wyhe says:

    Good morning Carlie,
It is so awesome to see how God is using your gifts and talents to further His kingdom! Gotta love those Spanish tests! Can you believe how grateful you are that you know a little?! :-) Dedicating the homes is always my most favorite part of the trip! Praise God that they all accepted His love! From the moment they tore down the little the had on the faith that God was going to help them, through you, I knew that His Holy Spirit had already been working on their hearts preparing them. Tonight you begin something new and it is awesome as well. Today I am praying for safe travel. Keep Psalm 121:8 in the forefront of your heart today, “the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”
    big hugs,
    Kristy

I am so proud of you for doing this and i am sure it was all worth it for the peoples lives you are changing. 24. Brenda Goodyke says:

    Hi Carlie,
I bet you are having an amazing time over there. Don’t you just love all those kids! It’s so cool to hear all the ways God is blessing you all as you serve Him and give so much of yourself this week. Praying for you daily. Try to take in all God has for you these last couple of days, you won’t want to miss anything! God bless!

    Mrs. G.

  25. Mom says:

We are praying for you safe return to home base tonight and His hands hold you all firm to the roads. Sounds like the roads are very difficult to travel and much worse than the roads my dad traveled with us in Mexico scaring the living daylights out of most of the visitors and as well as his family. The prayers have just gone into continuous mode from now until you are home safe.
p.s. Morgan is off safe to camp and Dad on his trip. Slick got to take a nice ride in the front of the truck and he was most interested in the wind coming from the sunroof as his nose peek out of it, what fun.
Take care honey! In His care. Mom.

I am feeling onehundred percent better and I’m sure that’s do to all your prayers so thank you again! I miss home and all of you but I don’t feel ready to leave yet.
